A month or so ago I was granted the unique opportunity to watch the very special film, After Selma. Unknown to me at the time, the organization that gave me the opportunity to see the film had a very limited time license. Since then and with the help of our partner, the Aspen Skiing Company, The Civil Conversations Project managed to also get a limited time license to view the film.
This is a powerful and moving video about the lost promise of the Civil Rights Movement as it bypassed its birthplace in Selma Alabama. The film weaves in that narrative with the timely and attention-getting story of the modern-day voter suppression movement. Thanks to the generosity of one of our partners, The Aspen Skiing Company, The Civil Conversation Project was able to acquire a short license to view this outstanding film. I encourage you to watch it. And then please ask your network of people to do the same.

And a shout out to the Joan Trumpauer Mulland organization - another organization dedicated to ending racism.
Thanks for being a part of The Civil Conversations Community.
