THE RIO BLANCO FIRE
Good morning. Today I’ve been deployed to the Rio Blanco Fire near Pagosa Springs Colorado. It’s new and not yet huge. As of last night, 783 acres and 205 people. So it might be a short assignment. But it’s in tall pines and it’s hot and dry…so stay tuned. I’m hoping to find the time to write. We’ll see.
Every fire has a Public Information Unit. One of the places they put out information and photos is on Facebook. So if you are interested you can search Facebook at 2026 Rio Blanco Fire.
See you in a few days…or a few weeks.

Smokey and I love each other!
I am sometimes called immature. But that’s obviously BS! ! And if you feel like supporting this work (writing, not fire fighting) by buying a paid subscription for the low, low price of $6.00 a month, discounted even further to a paltry $50.00 a year, here you go. Gracias.
