Thank you, Wayne, for exposing the root cause of continuing racism in the U.S., especially in “the South”. Last week, the people of Birmingham, AL acknowledged the 60th Anniversary of the bombing by the KKK of the 16th Street Baptist Church, a historically black, christian congregation. Four precious young lives were lost in that bombing; four little girls who died because they were in a building that threatened the frail sensitivities of a group of ignorant men full of hate for human beings whose only difference from them was the melanin in their skin. It took more than 40 years for the men responsible for the bombing to be indicted and convicted of the heinous crime. One must wonder, and question, if in fact there has been any progress made against racism in the U.S. It is said that sunlight disinfects. Keep shining the light, Wayne.
Sunlight disinfects. I’m going to remember that. Thanks Karen. Yeah, 60 years later and that bombing still makes me sad.
I love you Kray. You’re awesome!
