I am so, so angry and so, sorry about what has happened to the General. My Dad served in the Air Force, and sometimes I think if he were still alive this kind of thing would, quite literally, kill him. The thought that our "leaders" would treat such an extraordinary man in such a slighting, mocking way breaks my heart. Thank you for helping call attention to his story, and for reminding us of how much this man has done for the country. I am thinking tonight of Langston Hughes poem, which is burning inside me and reminding me that we cannot pretend that none of this is happening.
Adam Serwer, staff writer for The Atlantic, wrote a book about all that's transpired since Trump made the scene called, 'The Cruelty Is The Point'. The title kinda says it all.
Wayne, I watched the video earlier today; it has been posted out on Bluesky. Your keeping this article is more than special and your sharing really provides great context to the General's story. Thank you! What a travesty that he has been fired.
My dad had PTSD from Vietnam and would nearly tremble in rage against Bush for starting the Gulf war. This would have put him over the edge. Thank you Wayne for your witness. We need more like you.

"Let America be America again.
Let it be the dream it used to be. …
We must take back our land again,
America!
O, yes,
I say it plain,
America never was America to me,
And yet I swear this oath—
America will be!"
Thank you, Wayne, for doing everything you do.
Yeah, I love that poem. So poignant. So relevant.

Hey thanks Lani. I think the word 'travesty' applies to Trump, all of his people, and everything that he is doing.

Hey Thanks much, B. Much appreciated!
